چکیده

We investigate the propagation of errors through geometric transformations, such as reflections, rotations, similarity transformations, and projections, and also the scalar product of vectors. This means computing tolerance zones of points which undergo such transformations, if these points and the transformations themselves are given by toleranced input data.

Tolerances in Geometric Constraint Problems

We study error propagation through implicit geometric problems by linearizing and estimating the linearization error. The method is particularly useful for quadratic constraints, which turns out to be no big restriction for many geometric problems in applications.

SEIMCHA: a new semantic image CAPTCHA using geometric transformations

As protection of web applications are getting more and more important every day, CAPTCHAs are facing booming attention both by users and designers. Nowadays, it is well accepted that using visual concepts enhance security and usability of CAPTCHAs. There exist few major different ideas for designing image CAPTCHAs. Some methods apply a set of modifications such as rotations to the original imag...

Integrating GD&T into dimensional variation models for multistage machining processes

Recently, the modelling of variation propagation in multistage machining processes has drawn significant attention. In most of the recently developed variation propagation models, the dimensional variation is determined through kinematic analysis of the relationships among error sources and dimensional quality of the product, represented by homogeneous transformations of the actual location of ...

Uncertain Geometry with Circles, Spheres and Conics

Spatial reasoning is one of the central tasks in Computer Vision. It always has to deal with uncertain data. Projective geometry has become the working horse for modelling multiple view geometry, while modelling uncertainty with statistical tools has become a standard. Geometric reasoning in projective geometry with uncertain geometric elements has been advocated by Kanatani in the early 90’s, ...

Geometric Calibration and Accuracy Verification of the GF-3 Satellite

The GF-3 satellite is the first multi-polarization synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging satellite in China, which operates in the C band with a resolution of 1 m. Although the SAR satellite system was geometrically calibrated during the in-orbit commissioning phase, there are still some system errors that affect its geometric positioning accuracy. In this study, these errors are classified in...
